Epicurean Immersions from Oceania Cruises

Oceania Cruises have this week announced the release of an exclusive set of specialty wine and food shore excursions called Epicurean Immersions. The tours are produced in conjunction with culinary experts at Food & Wine Trails of Sonoma, California. Each tour showcases wineries, culinary treats and more traditional restaurants – many of which are not normally open to the public or are only know by a select few.

Many of the cruise excursions include meals at wineries or private homes, giving cruisers a true taste of Southern Europe. Epicurean Immersions features tours in Italy, Greece and the south of France – specifically Venice, Florence La Spezia, Sorrento, Corfu and Provence, France. A mixture of both half and full-day tours are available, in groups of between 25-30 people and led by experts who are not only acquainted with the food and wine scene of the region but have helped to personally design the cruise tour. These experts include Judy Francini, Pamela Sheldon, Judy Witts and Padraig Fournier.

“We are always searching for new and exciting ways to enhance and enrich our guests’ culinary experience, whether aboard ship or ashore. With this series of intimate and in depth tours, our guests can immerse themselves in the local cuisines and wines while truly connecting with the local culture,” said Bob Binder, President of Oceania Cruises.
