10th March '08 12 nights.
This was our 10th cruise, previous cruises being Cunard, P&O & Ocean Village.
What a wonderful cruise! Flew to Miami previous day & stayed overnight in the Intercontinental Hotel, a few minutes taxi ride from the port. Check-in took about 3 mins & then we were on-board. The ship is like a 5 star old english country hotel. Cabins much of a muchness, but very clean with additional nice touches such as fluffy bath robes and plenty of towels and shower products. Cabins serviced at least twice a day by extremely friendly staff. Although there wasn't any fridge in the cabin, there was a constant supply of ice delivered, so didn't find this a drawback. All public areas exceptional in furnishings & decor. The ship in general looked pristine, with no shabby areas.
The food in the Grand Dining Room was the best. On top of this they have 2 themed restaurants which you can visit once each per cruise at no extra cost.
Beautiful sunbathing areas with pristine covers on sunbeds, changed after every use. Also, sumptious seating area outside.
We chose this cruise because: 1) the size of the ship & 2) for the itinery. Neither of which disappointed.
Our only grumble would be the extra 18% service charge added to all bar bills and the daily $23 charge per person, which is supposedly tips for the staff.
